Originally not even meant to be recorded, The Vampire entered the studio on February 14th, after the cancellation of their first few 2024 shows due to personal reasons. With this time, the band decided to enter the studio and work on songs that had not made the previous demo album, 'For Eternity'. The early demos would come together in Charlies Dungeon, also known as Charlies basement. The earliest songs worked on were Anarchy, This Maze, Lost Forever / Rainfall, and being brought in by zlpk later on, Worlds Apart. The album being recorded at 'The Lounge Studios', where they had recorded previous releases, Tim Tillbury was familiar with their sound. The band had sent them their 'Immortal EP', which featured demo editions of various songs on the album. Tim accepted the request for the band to record at his place again, and recording started. Recording took many, many months, and mixing, mastering, and more took even longer, until around November / December of 2024.
 
The album is raw, emotional, even furious at times, and most definitely a journey. With the recording being captured with a time of struggle by the band, Awakening naturally took a darker, more emotional, and more real level of the band - that they had never even viewed before.
